Hoxsie House Christmas Letter 2024

This year of 2024 has been one for the books! It was filled with lots of miles being put on our cars to visit family, friends, crew at balloon festivals as well as regular visits (for Stacie) to Disneyland.

Tony went to S. Korea for a month for work at a military base there and then got asked to go back again about 6 months later, this time for 6 weeks. Stacie and her friend Alice joined him for 3 of those weeks, and you can catch up on her Facebook page of all the recaps and photos from that trip.

Other highlights include traveling to Texas for the full eclipse, visiting Stacie's brother James and his wife in Arkansas and hot air ballooning friends who moved to Missouri from California,  spending the 4th of July in Idaho, Tony's family reunion at Lava Hot Springs in August and getting to Apple Hill in September.

Stacie was able to make it to Camp Ritchie again to work on the rappelling staff,  attend 2 Pinners Conferences, Craftcation in Ventura and other conferences and events throughout the year. She runs Utah Fun Things to Do on Facebook that has recently reached 27k followers. Her job with Airbnb customer service sadly ended in July when they switched to a  more automated customer service. A highlight for Stacie this year was being able to visit all 7 of her siblings (or their kids).

Tony stayed busy busy with work, house and service projects. He completed running a mile or more every day between June 28 2023 to June 28 2024. Woohoo! He also ran in a couple 5k's in California. Tony is still working for SAIC remotely and he enjoyed being in S. Korea and working with his coworkers face to face + going on adventures with them on their days off. Tony kept the house fixed up and the cars as well. He still serves as a ward technology specialist to broadcast sacrament meeting and Sunday school via Zoom on the Sundays he's in town.

Even with all the good, there was a lot of sad this year such as our awesome next door neighbors passing away within a month of each other and losing other friends and neighbors in town. These experiences have made us even more grateful for each other and our health and those who touch our lives in meaningful ways.

We wish you all a bright and beary Merry Christmas
with a blessed new year around the corner.
